Inspector notes: An employee was observed adjusting the bathroom door stopper with bare hands and then proceeding directly to the kitchen area to retrieve spices. The employee was stopped before making contact with the spice container. CA: Food employees shall clean their hands and exposed portions of their arms immediately before engaging in food preparation including working with exposed food, clean equipment and utensils. Also, after using the toilet room or after engaging in other activities that contaminate the hands. COS: Employee voluntarily washed their hands right away.

Inspector notes: No hand-drying provisions were observed at any of the handwashing sinks within the facility, including the handwashing sink located in the front food service/kitchen area. CA: Each handwashing sink or group of adjacent handwashing sinks shall be provided with individual, disposable towels or a continuous towel system that supplies the user with a clean towel. COS: PIC supplied all handwashing sinks with a hand drying provisions right away.

Inspector notes: Observed heavy food residue on potato peeler blades as well as heavily soiled can opener blade. CA: Equipment food-contact surfaces and utensils shall be clean to sight and touch. COS: Employee voluntarily removed both pieces of equipment and placed it in three compartment sink to be rewashed, sanitized and air-dried.
