Inspector notes: Observed employee handling cell phone with gloved hands and failing to changed gloves when resuming food prep. Employee went on to cut carrots. If used, single-use gloves shall be used for only one task such as working with ready-to-eat food or with raw animal food, used for no other purpose, and discarded when damaged or soiled, or when interruptions occur in the operation. COS by instructing employee to change gloves. Health Authority asked employee to discard carrots but employee did not.

Employee cleaned slicer upon request and left a large amount of food debris on posterior aspects of slicer and meat holder. Equipment food-contact surfaces and utensils shall be clean to sight and touch. NOTE: slicer must be broken down and deep cleaned every 4 hours. There should be no remnants of meats of cheeses on slicer after cleaning.
