Inspector notes: Observed a thick black buildup on the interior surface of the tea/coffee sink (prep sink). Observed the interior surfaces of the lid of the ice machine with a black build up. The lid also had heavy condensation that could possibly contaminate the ice. Make sure to clean the lid frequently.

Inspector notes: Observed an excessive amount of dead maggots and some live maggots inside of the reach in cooler (not in use) by the cash register. PIC stated that the cooler has been down for about 2 weeks. There was an old container of food stored in the top of the cooler that was immediately discarded. Advised PIC to immediately remove the reach in cooler from the facility. The cooler will need to be deep cleaned, sanitized, and operating before it can be brought back into the facility. If the facility doesn't plan to use the cooler anymore then it should be discarded. Pest control (ECOLAB) serviced facility today 7/17 at 1:29AM with no findings noted. Have ECOLAB to service the facility again for flies and treat the area. Send a copy of the report to sabrina.young@dph.ga.gov by 7/24/25.

Inspector notes: Observed the reach in cooler in the biscuit area at an ambient temperature above 41 degrees Fahrenheit and items stored in the cooler cold held greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. PIC stated that the reach in cooler is plugged into a surge protector and it is periodically cutting off. Advised PIC to store food items used in that area in another cooler until an outlet is supplied for the cooler to keep the temperatures at 41F or below at all times. All food items were removed (COS).

However, drinking from a single service beverage cup with a secure lid and straw that is handled to prevent contamination of the employee’s hands, the container, exposed food, clean equipment, utensils and linens, unwrapped single-service and single-use articles will be allowed.
