Plumbing system not maintained in good repair
Inspector notes: 1. The drain pipe for the ice machine on top of the soda fountain is connected to the waste drain pipe from the soda fountain before emptying into the floor sink beneath the machine. Provide a separate drain pipe for the clean drain line from the ice machine that does not connect to any waste drain pipes. This separate drain pipe must drain indirectly to the floor sink with a minimum 1 in. air-gap between the end of the drain pipe and the flood rim of the floor sink. 2. Condensate from the walk-in freezer compressor is leaking onto the food shelves inside the unit and the drain pipe on the outside of the unit is installed to drain directly onto the floor instead of into the nearby floor sink. Repair the condensate leak inside the walk-in freezer and extend the condensate drain pipe on the outside of the unit to drain into the floor sink with a minimum 1 in. air-gap between the end of the drain pipe and the flood rim of the floor sink. 3. The hot and cold water valves on women's restroom hand sink are reversed. Provide hot water on the left valve and cold water on the right valve for this sink. 4. The caulking around the side splash of the hand sink connected to the three compartment sink is severely deteriorated and prevents proper cleaning of the surfaces on both sides of the side splash, including the drainboard of the three compartment sink. Remove all the old and soiled caulk and reseal the edges of this side splash with metallic silicone caulk

Conveying Sewage
Inspector notes: 1. The floor sink beneath the three compartment sink overflows when water is drained from any of the compartments. Clear the floor sink so that the three compartment sink can be properly drained. 2. The portion of the drain pipe from the three compartment sink that is directly connectded to the sewer system is leaking onto the floor from the P-trap area. Repair all drain pipe leaks and reroute the drain pipe from all three compartments of the three compartment sink to drain indirectly to the floor sink with a minimum 1 in. air-gap between the end of the drain pipe and the flood rim of the floor sink. Properly cap off and seal the direct drain connection. 3. The drain pipe connection beneath the back hand sink is completely rotted and the pipe is falling off of the sink, allowing water to drain onto the floor. Repair the back hand sink drain pipe so that it drains properly into the floor sink with a minimum 1 in. air-gap between the end of the drain pipe and the flood rim of the floor sink. 4. The drain valve beneath the middle compartment of the three compartment sink is broken and unable to hold water in the basin so that it can be filled. Repair the drain valve beneath the middle compartment of the three compartment sink so that it can be properly filled

Plumbing system not maintained in good repair
Inspector notes: 1. The caulking around the side splash of the hand sink connected to the three compartment sink is severely deteriorated and prevents proper cleaning of the surfaces on both sides of the side splash including the drainboard of the three compartment sink. Remove all the old and soiled caulk and reseal the edges of this side splash with metallic silicone caulk. 2. The drain pipe for the hand sink at the three compartment sink drains partially onto the floor instead of into the floor sink. Reposition the drain pipe for this hand sink so that it empties completely into the floor sink without causing water to collect on the floor beneath the three compartment sink. 3. 4. The hot and cold water valves on the food prep sink and on the women's restroom hand sink are reversed. Provide hot water on the left valves and cold water on the right valves for both of these sinks. 5. The drain pipe for the ice machine on top of the soda fountain is a flex drain line that extends into a makeshift electrical and duct tape end piece. Provide a new, separate hard pipe (PVC type) drain pipe for the ice machine at the soda fountain. This new, separate drain pipe must empty into the floor sink with a minimum 1 in. air-gap between the end of the pipe and the flood rim of the floor sink
