Inspector notes: Observed thick, organic material at the self-service soda fountain nozzle inside of at least 2 soda dispensers as well as inside the drain line and the drain tray of the soda fountain nozzle. It was also observed that the soda fountain had a lot of syrupy residues on it in general. Discussed with person in charge to clean the soda fountain and nozzles on a more regular basis to prevent the buildup of residues and organic matter on the soda fountain. The person in charge will clean the soda fountain. All food-contact surfaces must be cleaned to sight and touch

Inspector notes: Observed several tongs stored in cups of water at the pickled sausage and pickle jugs area adjacent to the soda fountain. Discussed with person in charge to store the tongs in a clean, dry location. In-use utensils must be stored in a clean, dry location; in running water; or in hot water above 135°F. If utensils are stored in food, the handles must be stored above the surface of the food. All in-use utensils were properly stored at time of inspection

Inspector notes: Inspector did not observe any sanitizer testing strips available for the chlorine sanitizer at the establishment. Inspector used personal strips to verify sanitizer concentration. Test strips are required for any sanitizers used with food contact surfaces. Provide sanitizer test strips prior to re-inspection. A re-inspection will occur within 10 days or no later than April 23rd, 2026
