Plumbing system not approved or fixtures not cleanable
Inspector notes: Observed a plastic water line connected directly from the mop sink hose bib, to a filtration system and then to an ice machine. The plastic water line, filtration system and ice machine are connected downstream from the Atmospheric Vacuum Breaker (AVB). Discussed that, unless disconnected after every use, no downstream shutoffs are to be installed downstream from the AVB. Discussed with the PIC that AVBs are not designed to withstand constant pressure and may fail to prevent backflow in as little as 12 hours. Instructed PIC to install a separate water line to service the ice machine, or move the ice machine at time of inspection. The PIC disconnected the hose at the time of inspection. A reinspection will occur on or prior to 12/1/2025 to verify the correction
