Inspector notes: Observed an employee that was working packing meat into trays. That employee then stopped to go and pick up a piece of trash from the ground and throw it away. The employee did not remove their gloves and wash their hands prior to returning back to the meat packing machine. Discussed with the employee that anytime contamination to the hands occurs, such as when picking up trash, that the hands must be washed prior to returning to work with the food. Employee properly washed hands at handwash sink at time of inspection. Discussed the importance of proper hand washing and when hand washing is required with the person-in-charge (PIC). Hands must be washed at any time contamination occurs and when changing tasks
