Evidence of pests or pest control inadequate
Inspector notes: Observed rat droppings near freezer containing ice near refrigerated beverage aisle. Rat droppings appear to be old, and per multiple store employees, the store has not had any recent issues with rodents. Reviewed recent pest control records with store manager. Upon further investigation, no other signs of rodents were found. Discussed having the rat droppings cleaned and requesting that pest control perform preventative care during their next routine pest control visit. Observed a build-up of torn cardboard, bottles and trash on the floor of the enclosures containing the cardboard baler and dumpster. Discussed cleaning up the area of trash and debris to control the harborage conditions for rats. Please follow-up with pest control and clean up trash area prior to next routine inspection
