Inspector notes: Observed an in-use soda gun with excessive soda syrup accumulation inside the nozzle. Educated PIC that all food-contact surfaces must be cleaned to sight and touch. PIC relocated all food-contact surfaces to warewashing area to be washed, rinsed, and sanitized at the time of inspection. Corrected at time of inspection

Inspector notes: Observed an ice machine with black, slimy, organic-like material growing on and behind deflector panel. Per PIC they use the ice in the machine for customer drinks. Educated PIC that ice is considered a food item and the ice in the machine was considered adulterated due to organic like growths. Instructed PIC on clean-in-place protocol and that all food-contact surfaces must be properly sanitized after washing and rinsing. When asked, employee stated the last time the slicer was used was during the weekend where it was used to prep food items. Educated PIC that all food-contact surfaces that contact TCS foods must be cleaned every 4 hours by washing, rinsing, and sanitizing. Food-contact surfaces must be properly sanitized after washing and rinsing. PIC had employee disassemble slicer and clean at time of inspection. Corrected at time of inspection
