Inspector notes: BPHC notified of an ill employee at the location. At the time of the inspection I was informed by the owner that other employees were ill at the location. Following developing symptoms the ill employees remained out of work until they were no longer sick and then continued to remain out of work for an additional 2 days. The illness policy was reviewed at the time of the inspection and the requirements for self reporting of illness to BPHC or the City of Boston Health Department. At the time of the inspection I spoke with Principal Inspector Diane Chalifoux Judge ISD consulted with The Boston Public Health Commision Nurse regarding reporting requirements The establishment is required to report when food handlers are ill after possible exposure to any high risk condition with exposure or risk of a food borne illness Illness reporting form provided- Review with staff
